Subscribers to satellite radio will be required to pay a monthly fee. It is subscription based, meaning that you pay a monthly fee for the service.

Subscribers usually have to pay a monthly fee of approximately $9. When purchasing a satellite radio there is usually a small monthly fee, but this will introduce you to a new world of commercial free radio.

Help answer the question about new satellite

My new HD receiver from Directv doesn't recognize that I have put up a new satellite dish. What do I do?
Basically I have decided to hook up a new Directv 5lnb satellite dish and a Directv Plus HD DVR receiver. My problem is the receiver doesn't recognize any signal from the dish.

Help is greatly appreciated.
To respond to that 1st answer, yes I have picked the right dish (5lnb). Just to make sure I tried it with all the possible dish options.
